The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is an essential guide in managing organizational operational processes to ensure efficiency and workplace safety, where effective SOP implementation reduces the risks of errors and accidents while increasing employee productivity. In the digital era, integrating technology into the design and implementation of SOPs has become increasingly crucial, as digitalization through applications and digital devices enables real-time access, updates, and monitoring of SOP enforcement. This study focuses on optimizing SOP design at PT. XYZ, particularly to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency by integrating digital skills, such as in the supervision of cylinder distribution and receipt of empty cylinders. The method used is a qualitative approach with a case study through interviews and field observations. The results show that implementing a digital SOP improves employees' understanding of procedures, speeds up task execution, and reduces the risk of workplace accidents. Additionally, technology enables the company to monitor SOP compliance more effectively, for instance, through Application Performance Monitoring (APM), which monitors application performance, including response speed, processing time, and capacity to handle users. APM data helps the technical team detect and address application performance issues before negatively impacting users, which is crucial for business or public service applications that require high reliability. This study recommends optimizing SOPs through digital technology to support safety and work efficiency in the chemical industry.
